Our Story.

Ringplay Productions was founded in 2001 as a professional Bahamian theatre company dedicated to furthering the development of the arts in The Bahamas by representing the best in national, regional and world theatre.

The company was imagined in the summer of 1998. It was created from the beginning to be a professional theatre company—one in which everyone got paid for their involvement in the business of theatre. This is a dream we’re still pursuing!!

The company was incorporated in 2001, and made its debut by bringing a version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth to the Bahamian stage.

In 2009, Ringplay Productions established Shakespeare in Paradise, an annual international theatre festival which is still the only one of its kind in the Caribbean.
