Shakespeare in Paradise 2010 officially opened for production with the first auditions for Telcine Turner’s Woman Take Two taking place at the Hub last night.
Though turnout was relatively low, the readings were enthusiastic, and the setting — the backdrop of the current exhibition — “I am Bahamian. I eat Conch Salad” by Amarachi Okafor — was inspiring in itself.
We’re gearing up for auditions for A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Saturday.
People interested in appearing on stage should make every effort to turn out. The director, Patti-Anne Ali, is in town for this weekend only!

i would like t come to the auditions but i am working saturday does the auditions run after 1pm thats wen i get off
We were at the Hub until 2 PM today, but the auditions ended at about 1 PM. Can you email us at admin@shakespeareinparadise.org ? We are having a second round of auditions tomorrow (Sunday) in a different location at 3:30 PM, but I need your email contact so I can send you directions.

I came out to the audition of Woman Take Two this past Thursday and was very much interested in the auditions for A Midsummer Night’s Dream. However, I had mentioned on Thursday night that I would be unable to get the time off from work Saturday morning and I am wondering if there may be any other opportunities for auditions this weekend.
